I discovered reptiles after moving to Darwin to play rugby. My coach at the Litchfield Bears was the renowned herpetologist and Reptile Book author Graeme Gow. Graeme passed away in 2005 after a battle with cancer that was complicated by a death adder bite. My love of reptiles grew over 18 months of helping Graeme at his Humpty Doo Reptile Park and where I learned a lot about reptiles and the breeding of these amazing animals. I will say the first 3 months I would not touch a snake, being brought up in the bush.
As a child, I was told the only good snake is a dead snake, and had a great fear of them. But as time went by and watching Graeme do his shows in the park daily, I gradually lost my fear of these great creatures.
I have kept and bred reptiles for over 35 years and have a lot of Knowledge and experience, in the reptile field. My collection consists of over 100 animals including, Antaresia family, Blackhead Pythons, Green Tree Pythons Bluetongue Skinks, Pinkie tongue Skinks, and the list goes on.
My love of reptiles has been passed on to my two daughters, Shakira and Rikki-Lee.
They have grown up with snakes and lizards. Shakira and Rikki-Lee also have the same passion as me for reptiles and they are part of the Australian Reptile Sales and Supplies business caring for all of our lizards. They both want to own a reptile park in the future.
ARSS (Australian Reptile Sales and Supplies) is based in Caboolture Qld, just 45 minutes from the Brisbane airport. We can freight Australia-wide. Where permitted. Please refer to our FAQ’s for more information on licenses you need to own reptiles.
As the rules in all Australian States and Territories are different.
We also sell reptile food and equipment from our place in Caboolture. This all must be pre-arranged, by phone, Instagram, or email. We accept square payments and cash. Our full contact details are in the footer.
